Where will I park for my volunteer shifts?

Volunteers will benefit from on-site parking during their volunteer shifts.

Can I be assigned to work in the same area with my family member, friend, or co-worker?

The volunteer application has an area where you may indicate other volunteers that you wish to be assigned with. The Grand Prix of Houston will make every effort to accommodate these requests.

I would like to attend all 3 days of the race weekend. May I volunteer to work all 3 days?

Your volunteer spirit is appreciated! On the volunteer application, you may select “I would like to work more than 2 shifts.” You may choose how many shifts you would like to work, which will be helpful when we are assigning committees and shifts. This is especially for those who have the time to volunteer prior to race weekend, and would like to be involved race weekend, also!

My friend is on a team that is a company or an organization. May I join their team?

Absolutely! Contact the Team Leader (TL) and they will add your name to their Team list. The TL is organizing their group mainly administratively, so you will be on the TL’s e-mail list.

Can my organization (church group, school, club, or other organization) volunteer as a group?

Yes, the Grand Prix of Houston welcomes organizations that wish to organize volunteer groups, which are named Teams. Select a Team Name and a Team Leader, then contact the Grand Prix of Houston office at 713-659-RACE (7223) or email volunteers@grandprixofhouston.com.
